Windows Down Warning

September 21, 2007

Example of Window Down Warning LightWe all make this mistake. How many times have you left a window or the sunroof open in your car by accident? I think I've almost always been lucky, but I have seen some friends return to their car after a thunderstorm to find a sopping-wet interior.

Almost all modern cars have a light to tell you when a door is ajar. So why not have one to tell you a window is down after shutting off the car?

A simple warning light that comes on for several seconds when the key is removed from the ignition, would probably save a lot of people from soggy interiors or from hands reaching in.
